Hoorai Moment — Family Journal
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Welcome to Hoorai Moment (the "Service" or the "App"). Hoorai Moment is a family journal that lets you keep the conversations and everyday moments with your kids one line at a time, and each night weaves them into that day's "Moment" with the help of AI.
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and Changes to These Terms
These Terms form an agreement between you and Hoorai ("we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of the Service. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in features, legal requirements, or how we operate.
When we update the Terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, an in-app notice or email). Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
2. The Service
The Service lets family members journal moments together — including text, photos, videos, voice recordings, and moods — and uses artificial intelligence to organize each day's fragments into a "Moment" and to refine transcripts.
The Service is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features at any time without individually notifying you of every change.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You must have full legal capacity to enter into contracts (generally at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live) to register an account. If you are a minor, use the Service only with the consent and supervision of your legal guardian.
You can sign in with Google, Apple, or email. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been used without authorization, contact us right away.
4. Families and Members
Content in the Service is shared within a "family". You can create a family, invite others to join, or accept an invitation to join an existing family.
Members of the same family can view and collaborate on that family's entries and Moments. Before inviting someone, make sure they are appropriate to view this content. When a member leaves or is removed, they can no longer access content added to the family afterward.
5. Your Content and the License You Grant
You (or the rightful owner) retain all rights to the content you create or upload in the Service — text, photos, videos, recordings, moods, and so on ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
To provide, operate, and improve the Service (for example, to store, back up, transmit, transcribe, generate Moments, and display content within your family), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Your Content solely for those purposes. This license lasts only as long as needed to run the Service and ends after you delete the content or your account, within the timeframes described in Section 13 and our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and that you have obtained all consents required to record and share it, including any information about children.
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses third-party AI models to transcribe your recordings, refine transcripts, and generate daily Moments. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected.
AI-generated Moments and transcripts are provided for you to keep and revisit, and should not be treated as an exact record of facts. Please review them before relying on them. You can regenerate or edit this content within the App.
7. Children's Information and Parental Responsibility
The Service is designed for parents to journal moments about their kids. If you record or upload information about a child (including your own), you represent that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained the consent of their parent or guardian.
You are responsible for the content you record about children in the Service and for ensuring that such records comply with the laws where you live. The Service is not intended for children to register or use on their own.
8. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- upload content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, contains malware, or includes other people's personal data without consent;
- upload content that is harassing, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, or use the Service to harass or bully others (including members of your own family);
- access another person's account or family without authorization, or attempt to bypass security and access controls;
- use automated means to access at scale, interfere with, or overload the Service, or reverse-engineer it;
- use the Service for commercial purposes outside its intended use (family journaling) or for any unlawful purpose.
9. Objectionable Content and Reporting
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. If you come across content or conduct in the Service that violates these Terms, you can report it to us at the email in Section 18, and we will act on it within a reasonable time.
We may remove violating content and, where necessary, suspend or terminate the accounts involved.
10. Fees
The Service is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we will clearly disclose the terms and obtain your consent before charging you.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service itself — including its software, interface design, trademarks, logos, and mascots — is owned by us or our licensors. Except as expressly granted in these Terms, you obtain no rights to any of the foregoing by using the Service.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on several third-party providers for sign-in, data storage, AI processing, and email delivery (see our Privacy Policy). These services have their own terms, which apply to you to the extent relevant when you use the Service.
13. Account Deletion and Termination
You can request to delete your account at any time within the App. After you request deletion, there is a cancellable grace period; once it passes, we will delete or de-identify your data as described in our Privacy Policy (because of how backups work, backup copies may only be rotated out after a reasonable additional period).
If you materially breach these Terms, or if there is a risk of abuse or harm to the Service or others, we may suspend or terminate your account to a reasonable extent.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that data will never be lost, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
Please note: the Service is not your only means of preserving data. Keep your own backups of anything important.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms and any dispute arising from them or from the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
17. App Store and Platform Terms
You download and use the App through an app store (for example, the Apple App Store), and your use of the App is also subject to that store's terms of use.
For the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content; Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and third-party rights claims, as provided in these Terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
